Subject: SHEBA/FIRE Meeting in Tucson, AZ

FIRE.ACE Researchers:

Attached as a Word document and included below as text only 
is a brief version of the agenda for the SHEBA/FIRE Science
 and Data Workshop that will be held in Tucson, AZ, at the
 Sheraton Hotel and Suites 25-29 January 1999.  A more 
detailed agenda will be posted before January 1.  This brief
 agenda should be sufficient for you to make your travel 
arrangements at this time.

The SHEBA Office received a call from the Sheraton Hotel
 and Suites, Tucson.  They are expecting to sell-out during
 the week of the SHEBA/FIRE Meeting.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our block of rooms at the hotel will be 
released on 24 December.  At that time the rooms will become
 available to other groups on the waitlist for room blocks.  
It is likely that if you do not make reservations BEFORE the 
deadline, you will not get a room.  For reservations, call 
520-321-7637.  To receive the room rate of $85, please mention
 the SHEBA/FIRE meeting as a reference.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR POSTERS AND WORKSHOP REGISTRATION

A web-based registration form and abstract submission form 
is available at the following address or can be accessed from 
either the SHEBA web sites.

Short abstracts for posters are due December 15.  
The abstracts will be used to fine-tune the agenda and 
assess suitability of non-FIRE, non-SHEBA participants 
(since participation is limited by the facility).
