High School Teachers Share their Classroom Management Suggestions

For us the satelites are overhead during periods 3, 4 and/or 5. We don't go out during noon hour or after school. I divide my class into groups of 3 students. I find this is the best number. Every day I post what time the satelites will pass over and the names of the group members. I have the observation sheet ready to use in a binder. At the appointed time the group just leaves and make their observations. They are back in about 5 min. There is very little disruption. My students have never taken advantage of this bit of freedom. Most days we barely notice the group leave and return
