This photo launches our Cloud Photo of the Month feature for the S'COOL Project. We received this photo from Mr. Sajor, a S'COOL teacher in Peru, New York, back in December. This is a photo of some striking lenticular clouds taken in Antarctica. We don't expect you to go that far for your photos, but we thought we'd start this feature off with a bang.

Mr. Sajor's comments on the photo: It was taken from a field camp on the Beardmore Glacier, in the Trans-Antarctic mountains. Although the high pressure of the poles is not known for spectacular cloud formations, we were treated to many during our Paleontology camp tenure. We were working on Mt. Kirkpatrick and had to be careful of possible contrail formation during our heli rides up to the work site so our eyes were always pealed upward!
